The CPDF is an automated information system containing individual records for most Federal civilian employees. The system’s primary objective is to provide a readily accessible primary data source for meeting the workforce information needs of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), other central management agencies, the White House, the Congress, and the public. It relieves participating agencies of providing separate input or reports to meet a variety of OPM reporting requirements. The information is covered by the Privacy Act of 1974.
